La Classique was born in 2007 when a group of enthusiastic friends decided to organize an adventure bike ride in the Lower Laurentians, north of Montreal. During this first edition, about sixty riders from all over Quebec province have dared harsh conditions of April’s cold and heavy showers, riding one of the three proposed trails.  A sense of true camaraderie has developed and a Quebec community of motorcycle adventurers was created.

Following this first event, several main actors came together and created the www.Ridaventure.ca forum, which has become the most important French-speaking website for adventure motorcycle enthusiasts in Canada. This site is now the reference for this community, which counts more than 13,000 members.

Since then, the event became a three-day gathering with different rides, on-site camping and many other activities. New routes have also been developed to suit different levels of riding and appeal to all types of riders.

No matter the situation, having fun is paramount for us… even through adversity! Values such as participation, mutual aid, sharing, a sens of belonging, selflessness and pleasure are constantly inhabiting participants and volunteers. They are the values that gave birth to La Classique, which now lives its 15 th edition this year.
